Airline Miles Credit Card Application Tips
If you would like to start earning points towards your frequent flier account, look for an airline miles credit card that is compatible with your frequent flier account, i.e. look for an airline miles credit card that will let you transfer points you earn to the airline where you have your frequent flier account.
American Express (r) credit card rewards program has many airline partners where you can transfer points you earn directly to a particular partner airline. For example, suppose you have accumulated 30,000 reward points on your airline miles credit card account. You browse through the list of partners and find that with 30,000 points or miles you can get a free ticket from New York to Paris.
Depending on the details of the particular reward program you belong to, you call the airline to make a reservation using the miles, and transfer the miles to the airline frequent flier program.
