0% balance transfer offer is intended to attract new credit card customers. Some credit card issuers offer a 0% balance transfer for the introductory period of owning a new credit card.

After the introductory period is over, the credit card and the balance you transfered will start costing you more. For example, the Subaru MasterCard from Chase features a 0% balance transfer for the intitial months (for qualified borrowers). The card also comes with no annual fee.
