American Express Travel now offers educational travel programs with Smithsonian Journeys. Trips include a variety of interests, such as architecture, astronomy, opera, civil war history, literature, cuisine and wildlife safaris.

American Express Charge Card Cardmembers receive a special benefit: a gift certificate to Longitude, an on-line travel bookstore.

Smithsonian Journeys itineraries include small ship cruising, river cruising, luxury trains, and family advetures to the Galapagos, Tanzania, Amazon, the Grand Tetons.
